Present life:
Nero
Vanetti is the eldest son of the Vanetti family. He’s second in line to become
a Don after his father Vincent Vanetti.
Personality:
He’s
alluring and outgoing. Sometimes his rage blinds him and he acts without
thinking. He’s also very passionate. He’s passionate about alcohol mostly. And
he often makes trouble about eating, he loathes eating fruit in lunch, he
prefers a hot meal rather than some tin canned food.
Nero cares
deeply for his family and friends and would never leave a friend behind in any
case of trouble. That is the reason people of lawless like him immensely and so
does the police. He has a happy demeanor, but he can be distressed after the
loss of his family members or friends. He is a happy person though, he cracks
jokes and teases people. Even in difficult situation when Fango asked him to
lick his boot he did not loose his pride and figures out how to deal with the
situation.

He’s desperate
to earn his father’s respect, and can go to any length to protect his family name
from getting destroyed.
He felt
kind of disappointed in himself when he couldn’t kill anyone on his first job,
after that he dedicated himself in every crime and tried not to fail his father
ever again. But even after that he’s a terrible shooter and choose someone else
to do his dirty work.
Appearance:
He resembles
to don Vincent Vanetti’s youth according to Don Glassia.
He has a
pointed goatee with slicked back brown hair. He has a muscular build and wears
a black blazer over a white rolled up sleeve shirt, with a yellowish-brown vest
and a red tie. He also wears a matching pant with black shoes and suspenders
which are hidden by vest.
At the age
of 14 Nero’s height was almost the same as of the present day but, he had no
facial hair and he covered his face with a trench coat and a hat on his first
job.
Religious beliefs’:
Nero wasn’t
religious at all. He used to skip church days when he was a child, although his
family was catholic.
Involvement
in the Story:
Nero is the
main character in the story, he first appeared in the seasons pilot and last
appeared in the finale. He was involved in the murder of Testa Lagusa and his
family and so, he was one of the person that was on the hit list of Angelo Lagusa.
Etymology:
Nero is
masculine name derived from the Italian language meaning dark and black but from
an inexact source it could also be from Sabine roots and from that language it
means Strong and Vigorous.
