The Theory Behind Binge Watching

Ever wonder how binge watching just somehow managed to become a trend? I mean a majority of people would just rather binge watch an entire season over the weekend than to wait for an episode a week.

Is it because of the evolution in media and how streaming services like Netflix and Crunchroll took the industry by storm? or was it just something that was bound to happen eventually regardless of the newly emerging technology?

It’s not hard to miss the impatience of youth. Around 59% of US adults say the reason they binge-watch is because they want to see the whole story at once, according to a separate YouGov survey.

So What’s the Verdict?

So is it bad and unhealthy?

Well, believe it or not in 1967 it was actually fatal to spend too much time in front of the television due to a manufacturing fault. The television would emit x100,000 higher radiations then what is considered safe today.

Considering today, binge watching may cause a severe strain on your eyes due to blinking a lot less than usual, making your eyes red and tired thought the effects are short term.

However in children, staying indoors for a significantly longer time duration may cause developmental issues such as MYOPIA where the eyes cannot focus properly since the sun actually plays a role in healthy eye regulation in youngsters.

What does science have to say about this?

Multiple researchers show a correlation between the numbers of hours spent in front of the TV and the risk for diabetes and other heart diseases.

So is it impossible to maintain a healthy relationship with your favorite TV shows??

Not at all actually. The thing is even when you binge watch for hours at a time (which is still not good for you but this post isn’t going to stop you is it? ) its necessary to compensate somehow. The more you move the more you live! Just make it a habit to move around as much as you can and add more physical activities to your daily routine and you’re set to go!

Why we should ALL be looking forward to “The Killing Of A Sacred Deer”

The thing is, for the past two months I’ve been interning as a content writer. I wrote an article on horror movies that you just have to watch before 2017. What caught my eye though, wasn't a horror movie but more of a psychological thriller. It was surprising that it didn't create a hype just by the trailer! Sure it’s not an all star caste but still! Releasing in USA on the 3rd of November 2017, rated 8.1 on IMDb. https://ewedit.files.wordpress.com/2017/05/18451476_10155489925603949_9220370681144095685_o.jpg?crop=108px%2C1567px%2C1720px%2C902px&resize=1200%2C630 Check out the trailer if you haven't yet so you can see for yourself what I mean: This is one of the type of movies that will probably, scratch that, most certainly have you one the edge of your seat through out the movie For starters, the creepy as hell music.
